Most of the work happens away from production: compatibility fixes are developed and tested on a production-like environment first. The final cutover is planned for a low-traffic window with a tested rollback path — typically minimal or no downtime.

Yes — multi-version jumps are normal for us. Under the hood we still move through major versions in controlled steps, but for you it is one project with one production cutover.

Automated tools handle the mechanical renames. They do not fix custom code, packages abandoned upstream, or the database and infrastructure around the application — and they take no responsibility when something breaks in production. We use automation where it helps and stay accountable for the result.
